Mark called me into the kitchen the other night to see Pop Pop, enjoying the heat of the stove as it was cooling. Before you freak out on me, please know our house is always in a state to getting better, so that's new drywall unpainted in the back. Sorry for the mess. But look how lovely my Poppity is!
And these next pics were taken last week when Mark was doing a survey in Prince William Sound. Sure those pics might be beautiful, but how messed up is Aidan? I love that he just wears anything. We were going on a walk to see our neighbors because they have evening sun and we don't. Plus we love them.
He's wearing Mark's fleece pants and Mark's shirt. I love seeing pictures of this green world. It will be gone soon and then we'll be back to our normal whiteness.
Mark and Aidan and I went camping last weekend. Here is Aidan being pulled in the inflatable kayak. After drifting awhile, he fell asleep in the kayak. We Philpots seem to have difficulty remaining conscious. But we do love a good boat camping trip, even in the rain. And after it rains, there's nothing better than taking pics of Mark's butt cheeks as he cooks us dinner. Aidan doesn't seem to have inherited Mark's love of cooking, but it does seem that he's inherited my love of mocking Mark.
After dinner Aidan and I promptly fell asleep. It was like 5:30 pm. Then we started getting visitors to the sailboat which was anchored up in Seldovia Bay. The Dillons came by, then our thirsty neighbors Chris, Amy, and Kevin. We had food left over so we fed them and had beers on the boat. Amy had just come from a wedding, so had to wear Chris's giant Carhartt overalls and was barefoot. Cute hippie. Here are some pics of them all.
